The Heart of Grief and Pain

Everyone of us will at some time will experience some type of pain and lost. Pastor Grey Laurie's son dies in a car accident in 2008 at the age of 33. Steven Curtis Chapman's five year old daughter Maria Sue was killed when her older brother backed the family vehicle over her that same year.

Pray with a Burden

This coming year should be a year full of prayer. It should be the same as breathing.

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be know unto God. And the peace of God,which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6,7

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Heb 4:16

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16

The coming year is fast approaching. The videos this week I trust will help us all to be prepared to go deeper with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ this coming Year. This video today talks to me about being faithful. We may think we don't have much to offer Christ or that our witness always comes short of what we may expect. But all we need is to surrender each day. 2 Timothy 4:2 says: Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. His Spirit will do the rest as you will see in this video.

The Reason for the Season is SIN

I first saw this picture in the Nov-Dec 1979 issue of The Last Days Newsletter. This mailing was from Keith Greens Ministry.
Keith's Music was to the point and would take your heart and reveal what was inside and then plead for your repentance. This picture does the same. Santa standing there speechless and looking at the Saviour Jesus Christ.
Also the short video by John MacArthur declares the real meaning and purpose of Christmas.
I Pray that you all will have a Christmas saturated with the Truth of Christmas.

Is Oprah and friends teaching Truth.

Dr. Erwin Lutzer wrote a book warning and informing Christians about the extra-biblical teachings of Oprah and many of her quest that have appeared on t.v, radio and Internet programs. What is alarming is the fact that many Christians add their teachings to their lives.

I encourage you to do your homework and get the book and listen to this video.

Judge Not lest ye be Judged

This phase as been thrown around like a baseball during baseball season.
Remember the story that I shared about the man warning the driver about the fact that the bridge is out. The driver had no clue that he was going toward a bridge that was washed away. What if he had this thought that, this man had the nerve to stop him on the road. How judgemental. How intolerant and unloving. But the driver did not stop to ask the man why he was yelling, stop, stop! It would be easier to just call this man crazy.
Charles Barkley had a video of calling Christians that question homosexuality as judgemental and unloving. Josh McDowell the writer and apologist compares intolerance and loving this way:

We must aggressively practice love. Everyone loves love, it seems, but few
recognize how incompatible love is with the new tolerance. Tolerance
simply avoids offending someone; we must help our children live in love, which
actively seeks to promote the good of another person.

Tolerance says: You must approve of what I do.
Love responds: I must do something harder; I will love
you, even when your behavior offends me.
Tolerance says: You must agree with me.
Love responds: I must do something harder; I will tell you
the truth, because I am convinced that the truth will set you free.
Tolerance says: You must allow me to have my way.
Love responds: I must do something harder; I will plead
with you to follow the right way, because you are worth the risk.
Tolerance seeks to be inoffensive
Love takes risks
Tolerance glorifies division
Love seeks unity
Tolerance costs nothing
Love cost everything

It looks like Pastor Matt Chandler is going to have a time of recovery after having his brain surgery. Please pray for him and the church he pastors.
The Following messages are to the point. The point is , we are not reaching the lost in our churches. As Matt would say we can have precious people in our churches that are Inoculated to Jesus Christ. They are the De-churched.
This shook me with fear that I may be worshipping here in this church for 16 years and this may be a form of godliness and denying The Power. When is the last time that I checked everything that is going on in church with Gods Word. Could there be a possibility of Idolatry. It was a beginning of repentance and questioning. What am I being taught and why am I here. And for some reason when I questioned church practices and methods. Pastors get upset and angry at me. But at the same time. All I want is the Truth! Thats all!. Is that to hard to ask for from a Church!

Paul Washer

It was the same year that I started Listening to The Way of the Master Radio Program. I had already made a decision to listen to as many sermons as possible between Sundays. I was not satisfied with the amount of Gods Word through the Sunday morning service. I hungered for more! The program played a clip of Paul Washers sermon to a youth conference. It really convicted me to the core. I heard a actual sermon that opened up my heart and broke it and the Word of God healed it over and over.

If My People, which are called by My Name.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Yes I understand that this is mainly speaking of Israel. Gods chosen People. But if the Church is the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ. Would we also be His people. He provided the healing and the forgiveness through the payment that was made on the Cross.
As a church we must return to the main thing. We must Repent. There is a dangerous trend that the Holy Spirit needs help to get peoples attention and soften the ground of peoples heart. All we need is to be faithful in season and our of season to preach the Gospel. The whole Gospel! 1.Our breaking of His Law. 2.His wrath for our sin nature and sin. 3.The payment that must be paid.4. The Great Mercy and Love of God to pay our account so we can become Justified before the Father. 5.The Power over sin, the Grave and Death by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. 6.The Grace to give His Holy Spirit to dwell inside us and live a life of surrender.

It will Cost you Everything by Steve Lawson

I thought this would be a good video to start with. Oh no! It is over 10 minutes long. I have a cure for you and me. Take your pulse and count how many beats your heart is pumping in one minute. Then count how many breaths you can take in a minute. And then thank the God of all creation for having enough Mercy to allow you to live long enough to hear the Gospel.

Why, Stop the Bridge is Out!

I had left a church that we attended for 20 years. Not because of feelings or relationships gone south. But in the last two years since our new Pastor has been there. More and more extra Biblical practices were becoming the way and means to reach God. This site is to attempt to warn and ask people to just stop and ask the question, why! To ask people to take a second look at what they are being taught and fed. Does the information that you receive agree with the plain text of the Bible. Are we adding stuff to what God said!

There was a story of a man that was driving through the night on a small country road. It was raining hard and so the fella turned the radio on to hear the weather report. The news reporter stated that there was a man missing from Mental Institution near by. And he was considered dangerous because of his mental state. He drove for another 30 minutes and the rain was still pounding on the windshield. He had to slow down at times because of the poor visibility. Out of nowhere a man was seen down the road, waving his arms. The closer the car got to man, the driver started to hear the words, stop, stop, stop. The thought came to the driver, wow! This must be the guy that has escaped from the Mental Institution. Just look at his eyes! They have that crazy look in them.
So fear overtook the driver and he turned the car to the left and the man with his hands on the hood still was yelling, Stop, Stop, Stop! The driver was still full of fear about what this guy will do next. So he turned the car around and drove back to the village that he past awhile ago.
Next he saw a set of headlights coming toward him and with a flashing blue and red lights on the top of the car. It was the police. They stopped in front of the car and came to the drivers window. The driver said that he was so glad to see him. There was a crazy man down the road yelling for me to stop. The police said,

Crazy Man! I don't know anything about a crazy man. But it was a good thing that you did stop and turn around. The Bridge down the road that you were headed for was washed out by the river. That man whoever he was, saved you from falling from the bridge and into the river.
